Camry likes to help Chad use the laptop.

This Blue Jay likes to harass me when I am painting the porch.

Dolly isn't sure how I got to be on the other side of the screen.

The whole situation annoys her and she isn't afraid to tell me about it.

Happy Anniversary

Chad took me to Tiffany's tonight and bought me a ring for our 2 year anniversary. The next time you see me, you must oooo and awww and tell me how good it looks.

Overheard at the Animal Hospital

Receptionist: "Your total is three hundred dollars and forty-three cents."
Client: "Do I have to pay the forty-three cents?"

Yes, you have to pay the 43 cents! This isn't a flea market, I'm not going to haggle with you!

A Project

Eventually this porch will be white. Maybe even this weekend.

Notice how you can see the porch? Thanks John!
Also, see that volleyball? It just appeared in our yard one day.

The cats help make the bed.

This is Dolly attacking Camry from under the sheet.

This is Dolly, upset that we found her hiding place.

This is how Camry looks right before he attacks the camera.

A Limerick

A girl who worked at a vet,
Had two cats that she loved to pet.
One brave, one afraid,
One neutered, one spayed,
They both play bass clarinet.

Graduation

Yesterday we went to Amy's college graduation. I got up at 4:30am, because we were planning to leave the house at 5:45 and I didn't want to make us late. At 5:40 I was just finishing my breakfast when Chad came into the kitchen and asked what I thought he should wear. Needless to say, we did not leave the house at 5:45. But we were meeting his parents so we could all ride together, and they always leave late for these types of things, so we were actually at the meeting place before them. 3 hours later we were in Springfield. Baccalaureate was at 10, then we moved out all of her stuff, went to lunch, then to graduation at 2:30. Then we sat around for a while, went out to eat and came home, arriving about 10pm. It was a long day, but I'm glad we went.

Today we went to church, then to lunch with friends, then we came home - I was taking a nap in the bedroom where Chad had set up a box fan in the window. I heard a noise, sat up and saw Camry scrambling into the house through the window. Dolly had knocked the screen out of the window and gone outside. Camry had followed her, but something, (probably just being outside), had scared him so he was trying to get back inside and knocked the fan out of the window. So we went outside to find Dolly and she was behind a giant bush and would not come out, even for a cookie, so Chad had to go down to the basement and grab her through one of the windows down there. I must admit that while I would prefer that neither of the cats ever set foot outside, I much prefer looking for Dolly in the daylight instead of at midnight like we have had to in the past.

Question

Say you go into an office. We'll call it a "dentist's office." Say the receptionist/office manager puts you in an exam room, handed you two forms and pen and says "Fill these out and bring them out to me when you are done." Then you say, "OK!" Fast forward a few minutes - you have filled out the forms - What do you do!? Do you follow directions and take them back out to the front desk? Or do you just sit in the room, leaving the girl up front to wonder why you are a complete idiot, because by this time, you are coming across as an idiot. Either you said "ok" even though you weren't really paying attention, or you heard what she said, but you already forgot. So which is it people? Are you not hearing the words that are coming out of my mouth? Or do you just have a 5 second memory?

Survivor

I don't think anyone who reads this blog watches Survivor, but I've just got to talk about it anyway. OHMYGOODNESS! I can't believe Parvati won. I just can't believe it. I was rooting for Amanda from the very beginning! But she got to fall in love with Ozzy and I think she gets $100,000, so it wasn't a complete loss. Parvati so did not deserve to win. And what was up with Natalie's Tribal Council question!? That was so random and inappropriate!

Other than Amanda losing, I had a pretty good weekend. Worked, slept, went to the Royal's game where I ate two Gates BBQ sandwiches and got a sunburn on one side of my face. Yes, I do look like an idiot. I woke up with a headache today and it has been getting worse all day, so I think I might try to get out of here early today. Like right now.

Overheard at the Animal Hospital

Old Man: "My dog has a lot of plaque on her teeth. I have been scraping it off with a pocketknife, do you think she still needs a teeth cleaning? One of her teeth looks infected, she doesn't seem to like it when I scrape at that one, do you think it hurts her? I have been brushing them with my toothpaste, she really likes it!"
Me: "....." (silence, because I have fallen out of my chair and passed out on the floor).

Man in Denial: "My dogs don't weigh that much, your scale is wrong."
Me: "That's what I always say about it too, but unfortunately, it's right."

What a great weekend!

The weather was nice and we spent a ton of money. Chad got a new road bike - I thought he should get the blue, sparkly one, but the yellow/silver one was $250 cheaper and just about as good, so he went with that one. That is the difference between us - I'll pay $250 for the color blue, and he won't. He also got shoes, pedals and got the sales guy to throw in a helmet, water bottle and holder for free. He has only fallen off the bike once, and that was in our driveway. Chad also got new brakes on his car, which I'm very happy about, I like him to be able to stop. We watched "Lars and the Real Girl," it was a little bit crazy. Interesting, but crazy!

Wii

If you have a Wii and you don't have Mario Kart yet, you must go get it immediately. It is by far the most fun Wii game I have ever played.
