Update
The dramatic person just left for the day. After standing around and chatting for 5 minutes. Guess she is over it?
Drama
My workplace is usually very drama-free. It is why I switched from my old job to my new job. It is my favorite part about this place. But there is always one. One person who simply must be dramatic, less they die!!
This morning I made a mistake. I told her that I don't go into her workspace and move stuff around, so how about she doesn't move my stuff around? Her reaction was to inform me, loudly, that she can walk wherever she darn well pleases, GOSH KATIE!!!! And she proceded to walk away. Loudly.
This confused me a little because I hadn't said anything about walking. I don't care where she walks. I care that she moves stuff around. And then five minutes later moves it somewhere else. And then moves it again.

No, I'm not quitting my blog.
My life is just a little bit uninteresting lately.
I hired a full-time receptionist a couple of weeks ago. She is doing fine, I haven't had to work late since she started, and that was kind of the point in hiring her, so I'm happy.
A dog and a cat were adopted last Friday, it was a great day! I expect to hear from Petsmart sometime this week - The entire process has taken much longer than I anticipated, but we are almost to the point of actually taking some cats to the store and getting them settled. Hopefully they will be more visible there and find homes faster.
It is crazy windy here today. Rain is on the way.
I will leave you with Tater & Tot. They need homes!

Remember the boy who was gone from Awana's for a few weeks? Well he has been there the last two weeks. The first week back he told Chad he wanted to be his Pen Pal. So Chad gave him our address. And this is the letter that came:
"Dear Mr. DeShon,
Hi. I hope your having a good time? I don't have a lot to say but I only tell my best friends i'm a picies. (Pisces?) Can I call you Chad insteade? I wish you were my dad.
If your wife found this then its ok if you read it to her. I think your the best leader ever.
P.S. Should I write in cursive?"

Today is my day off.
And I'm at work. So here is a story to give everyone a mid-week cheer.
I know that some of you have already heard this story because Chad has a big fat mouth, but I'm sure I tell it better anyway.
So we are on the shuttle bus from the airport to economy parking after our flight back into KC. I leave my phone on the bus, but I don't know that. We get home about 11, and around 11:45 I start looking for my phone so I can set my alarm for the next morning. I can't find it. I used Chad's phone to call my phone in case I can hear it ringing somewhere. I don't hear it ringing, but I do hear, "Hello? Hello?"
So I say, "YOU HAVE MY PHONE!!" Why did I say it so accusingly? Did I think this guy stole my phone? No, I think I was just annoyed that it clearly wasn't anywhere near me.
He said, "I found it on the shuttle bus at the airport, do you live in the KC area?"
I said Yes, and asked where he was.
He said he lived in Overland Park and worked in Olathe, and as I was about to say how close we were, he said, "I work at Garmin."
So I said, "Shut up! My husband works at Garmin!" Why did I say "Shut up!?" I never say that! It's so highschool-15yearoldgirl-annoying!
I continued, "His name is Chad and he works on the 6th floor, will you get it to him tomorrow?" He said he could do that, and I went to bed, happy that it was all going to work out just fine.
Monday morning before Chad went to work he was checking his email and said, "Hey, do you know who you talked to last night?" I started to feel a little sick, because really, what question like that is going to have a good answer?
He said, "Cliff."
I said, "Crap."
He said, "You know, the COO of Garmin."
I said, "CRAP!"
He said, "You totally called the COO of Garmin in the middle of the night and practically commanded him to deliver your cell phone to me."
I said, "And, I told him to Shut Up!!"
Apparently, Cliff had his secretary track down Chad, send him an email that she now had the phone and would bring it to him whenever he got into the office. So thanks Cliff for being so nice about the whole calling in the middle of the night, telling you to shut up and ordering you around thing. You're a good guy. And Chad thinks it is really cool that you use Economy Parking.

Ohmygosh, its it bedtime yet? It is only 6:15 here - the boys are playing MarioKart, I'm just trying to stay awake. I am super thirsty, but the water here tastes really bad, so I am rationing the 8 ounces of water I have left from a bottle. I'm so going to get dehydrated.
I only fell twice this morning and it took me till the very end of the morning to do it. The first time I literally tackled both Josh and a complete stranger at the same time. Sorry Josh. The stranger was on a snowboard and didn't seem to know what she was doing and then Josh turned toward her a little bit, so I just took both of them down. I think that is the first time I've ever fallen because of someone else. Oh yeah, I also let out the girliest scream you can imagine right before I ran into them. You know, as a warning that I was coming. The second time was on the easiest Green hill imaginable. While that is embarrassing, I would still way rather fall on an easy Green than when I'm flying a million miles an hour down a Blue, I think I am less likely to break something and I don't slide as far that way. But don't worry, I'm sure I'll accomplish a Blue fall tomorrow.
End of day one - I didn't ski this afternoon, took a nap instead. The boys just walked through the door, and I am starting to make dinner, spaghetti and meatballs. I am blogging while cooking, cause the internet cable is in the kitchen. Convenient, huh. More to come later. By the way, I would kill for a Dr. Pepper.
